This post is going to be extra heavy on photos! Joy and Ken were married in a stunning lakeside ceremony. It was held at the Rockland Recreation Area in Hendersonville in a gazebo next to Old Hickory Lake. I was shooting with the talented Shane Irwin.
The bridesmaids played a bit of a practical joke on Joy. Her maid of honor was supposed to be holding Ken's wedding band during the ceremony, but when the officiant asked for the rings, she acted like she had forgotten it. But, in reality, the last bridesmaid in line was holding the ring. She 'fessed up and passed it down the line to Joy.
The reception was held in the family center of St. Stephen's in Mt. Juliet. This group was full of dancers! After the first dance and parent dances, the DJ put on "Cupid Shuffle" and over half the guests made their way to the dance floor!
Among the dancers was this little guy. Despite his young age, I'm pretty sure he could out-dance me (which admittedly isn't hard). I think I need to take lessons from him!
But perhaps the most awesome part of the night? Joy and Ken sent off floating lanterns at the end of the night. So beautiful!
