Kelsey – Nashville Portrait Photography

A few months ago, our local SMUG got together for a fun evening shoot. Imagine: one model and 40 photographers! It was a bit chaotic but also a lot of fun! (Of course, my favorite part of the night was ending at Mellow Mushroom. I love that place.) It was challenging to get some good shots with a bunch of other photographers vying for the model’s attention and not being able to get that angle you really want, but I imagine this is how the paparazzi feels when trying to capture a great celebrity image.

Fall Mini Sessions – Nashville Portrait Photography

I was so happy with the results of this fall’s mini sessions! I couldn’t have asked for better clients or for more gorgeous weather. You never know if it’s going to be hot or cold in October around here, and we lucked out with warm sunshine! Here’s some samplings from the sessions:

How great is Carson? I jokingly asked her if she could climb out on this limb over the water at Centennial Park, and she did it without blinking an eye!

I look forward to the next round of mini sessions in the spring!

Melissa – Nashville Portrait Photography

Melissa is my roommate. She’s proof that finding housemates via craigslist CAN work! We’ve been living together since around the beginning of this year. She asked me one day recently if I could take a couple shots of her because she didn’t have any recent headshots, and I happily obliged. These were just quickly taken in our back yard. Gotta love that golden hour light.:)

Meagan (part two) – Clarksville Senior Photography

If you remember part one of Meagan’s senior portraits, you’ll know that we got rained out after only about half an hour. So to complete her session, I drove up to Dunbar Cave in Clarksville for the not-as-urban/more-naturey final part of the shoot. We had a lot of fun playing with light!

Thanks for letting me experiment, Meagan! (And, um, thanks for finding me when I got lost in the woods.)
