Meet Sam! He was born just a few short weeks ago. He was a champ during our newborn session and fell right to sleep after a quick meal.
I love baby feet and his were no exception!
We managed to squeeze in some portraits with mom and dad, too.

It’s always super exciting to see how much a baby has grown since they were born. I shot Scout’s newborn session last spring, and look what a big girl she is at a year old! Don’t you love her red hair?
Scout’s mom, Holly, suggested Sewanee’s campus as the backdrop for our session, and I was so glad she did. I had never been before, and it was gorgeous!
They brought lots of great outfits and props along so I could capture a variety of images.
We ended our day with some frozen yogurt at Sweet Cece’s (if you know me, you know how much I love that place; I practically live at the one in the Village).
How cute are they?
Do you all remember Ella? I shot her newborn session last year, and now she’s a year old! (Well, more like 13 months since it rained the entire month of April.) We went out to Rotary Park in Clarksville to capture her sweet face.
We also learned that she loves playing with rocks.
Ella’s mommy is eight months along with her baby brother, so there’s going to be a new addition to this family picture soon!

I was so happy with the results of this fall’s mini sessions! I couldn’t have asked for better clients or for more gorgeous weather. You never know if it’s going to be hot or cold in October around here, and we lucked out with warm sunshine! Here’s some samplings from the sessions:
How great is Carson? I jokingly asked her if she could climb out on this limb over the water at Centennial Park, and she did it without blinking an eye!

Isaac was born just last Friday. He was a few weeks early, but born at a healthy weight of 5 pounds, 15 ounces. He was a dream to work with. He slept soundly through the first half of our session and let me prod and mold him as I wished. If you are thinking of scheduling a newborn session, this is why the first week of life is the best!
We probably could have convinced him to go back to sleep for the second half, but I was enjoying taking photos of his eyes. Plus babies make the funniest faces when they are awake!
